After two years of turbulence, we’re looking forward to reconnecting in 2022. We’d love to welcome new members. The North West is a big place with a wealth of organisations and people working with craft and who appreciate its potential to transform people and places. We want to get more connected with organisations who work in the areas we’ve identified as our priorities, so we’re keen to welcome those who promote craft as an everyday act of joy, work with craft to further mental health and well being, and engage with any aspect of maker support at all career stages.
We’re also aware of the need to better represent all people in the North West, so we’re eager to welcome organisations and individuals who represent marginalised or under-represented groups, including, but not limited to, those who are Black, Asian and minority ethnic, neurodivergent, D/deaf, LGBTQ+ and working class.
If you’re an organisation or consultant working with craft in the North West of England, and you’ve a passion for working with others to see craft thrive in the region, we’d love to hear from you.
If you’d like to join us, get in touch with our coordinator at email@example.com
If you’d like to know what ‘joining us’ looks and feels like, there’s a bit about it here. In 2022 we’re planning to have a hybrid face to face / online approach to meeting. We found that the great thing about Zoom is that it allows anyone from across the huge area that is the North West to take time out of their busy day and join us. But we also feel that real connections are made and built through face to face connection.
We’re planning to meet face to face on June 10 1-3pm as part of the Festival of Making. If you’d like to come along and meet us, get in touch with Victoria, our coordinator, and she’ll make sure you have all the info you need to do that. firstname.lastname@example.org
