The North West Craft Network is funded and administratively supported by Manchester Craft and Design Centre, comprising of ‘MCAD Enterprises Ltd’ (Company no. 10143710) and ‘Manchester Craft & Design’ (Registered charity no. 1173366). It is committed to handling and storing personal information in compliance with the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This applies whether the information is obtained directly from individuals through the North West Craft Network website by completing web forms or by other means such as phone calls, e-mail, printed forms, or in person. It also applies to information obtained from publicly available sources.

In all instances the North West Craft Network is the data controller.

Whose information do we collect?

We collect personal information about the following categories of people:

  • Subscribers to the mailing people
  • Members of the North West Craft Network
  • Enquirers
  • Media and press

How do we collect the information?

Information is collected under the following circumstances:

  • Subscribing to the North West Craft Network mailing list or other marketing communications
  • By joining the North West Craft Network as a member
  • Through personal contact with a the NW Craft Network coordinator or a member of the the NW Craft Network
  • From publicly available sources

When you sign up the the mailing list of the North West Craft Network you will be offered the opportunity to opt-out every time we communicate with you. When you joing the North West Craft Network as a member, you can opt out at any time by emailing craftnorthwest@gmail.com

Under the terms of the GDPR the lawful bases for processing personal information are:

  • we need it to pursue our legitimate interests including by communicating with current and potential members and supporters, and/or…..
  • you have given your consent for us to do so.

How long do we hold the information?

Information is retained for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it is required.

Statistical data

We automatically collect statistical data about usage patterns on our website. This information is not used to identify any individual. It is only collected to provide us with an understanding of the areas of interest on our site and kept only for as long as required for this purpose.

If you agree to join the North West Craft Network as a member (this is different to signing up to the mailing list), you acknowledge that your information may be shared with other Network members in the course of our communications.
